Our Computer Program
In a world where technology is at the heart of everything, digital literacy is no longer a luxury it’s a necessity. At Norton Youth Learning Centre, we are opening doors to computer literacy through practical, hands-on computer training designed especially for beginners and young learners.
Our two-month Basic Computer Skills Program is structured to equip students with essential knowledge that builds both confidence and competence. In the first month, participants dive into the fundamentals—learning how to
- Navigate a computer
- Manage files and use everyday tools like
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Publisher.
We also introduce smart internet use, helping students explore the digital world safely and effectively.
The workshop continues in month two, where we step into more advanced, career-oriented tools. The topics covered include
- Microsoft Excel
- Basic HTML
CorelDraw and understanding database management, students gain a well-rounded skillset that prepares them for both employment and entrepreneurship. We also introduce till operating systems—vital for those looking to enter retail or small business environments.
